Line dancing is the no-partner-needed way to enjoy moving to music while experiencing the many positive physical, mental, and social benefits of dancing. If you enjoy rock, pop, and Latin music you'll love this new active indoor hobby. This course is designed for the absolute beginner line dancer and no dance experience is needed. We'll build knowledge at a comfortable pace while having lots of fun dancing to upbeat, contemporary music.
Line dancing is generally regarded as a safe way of getting a little light exercise but please know that some physical and mental exertion is required. Wondering if this course is right for you? Please click here to see a list of beginner skills.
Mondays 12:30 - 1:30 pm starting March 4. Semesters are 6 classes long.
Course fee is $10 per class payable weekly by cash or check to “Cape Sands Ballroom”.
Preregistration is required by emailing Karen. Please plan to join only on the "start date", March 4.
Please wear casual layered clothing, carry your shoes in with you*, and bring a shatterproof water bottle. Plan to arrive 5 minutes early and stay 5 minutes after class to warm up and cool down independently and at your own pace.
*Shoe Policy: Please change your shoes on arrival to help keep the dance floor clean. Special dance shoes not needed but please choose shoes that are non-marking, clean-sole, closed (toe, heel and instep), some flexibility in the sole, and some means of staying on the foot (tie or strap). For safety reasons the following are not permitted in class: bare feet, stocking feet, mules, clogs, slides, platforms, sandals, and heels.

Covid-related Cancellations
Masks are optional. The instructor is unable to cue effectively while wearing a mask so if the Barnstable County
Department of Health and Environment issues an indoor mask advisory, or if any agency (federal, state, or local)
issues a mask requirement or mandate for an area that includes the Town of Brewster, these classes will be on

Weather Cancellations
If the Nauset Public Schools are “CANCELED” or experience a “DELAYED OPENING” due to severe weather,
Cape Sands Ballroom Line Dance classes will be cancelled at Brewster COA
