Every first Tuesday afternoon of the month, Karen Shackleford of Cape Sands Ballroom
invites you to a Ballroom Dance Party and Pre-Dance Beginner Sampler Lesson at the
Dennis Center for Active Living (DCAL)'s Theater Room.
Singles and couples welcome, all levels of dancers welcome
1:00-1:45 pm
Pre-dance beginner sampler lesson
2:00-3:30 pm
General dancing to fine recorded contemporary and classic ballroom, Latin, swing, and specialty tunes
Cookie tray and ice water provided
Door prize
Partner dancing, mixer dances, and even a line dance or two
Please change shoes on arrival to protect the dance floor
Dress code: dressy casual
No reservations needed
Walk-in $10 cash or check payable to "Dennis Senior Center".
Non DCAL members need to fill out a "Membership Registration" form
prior to, or on, the day of their first party
Note also other ballroom dance events happening at DCAL:
On the Fourth Tuesday of the month live music at free open rehearsals
with the Sound Dunes Combo at 1:00 pm.
Please note: Beginning in January 2026, Ballroom Dance Parties will be held exclusively
on the first Tuesday of each month. The third-Tuesday parties will be discontinued.

plus a few crowd-favorite line dances to keep the energy high.
Enjoy a modern mix of partner dances including
West Coast Swing, Country Two-Step, Hustle, Nightclub Two-Step,
East Coast Swing, Cha Cha, Salsa, and Argentine Tango
in a relaxed, friendly setting.
This event blends the connection and variety of social ballroom dancing
with a fresh, contemporary dance-floor vibe focused on great music, movement,
and enjoying time together on the dance floor.
