To get started, choose your music for your first dance.  The rhythm of the song you choose will dictate the type of steps you’ll learn so it is important to know your music before booking your lessons.

 

When you’re ready to book your wedding dance package, consider whether you’re looking for some basic instruction or something more complex.  A very basic dance can usually be accomplished in five lessons.  If you wish to have memorized pre-set choreography, multiple themes within the dance, or a dance that travels around the floor, please plan on ten lessons.

 

To determine your optimum lesson start date, decide on the number of lessons you’ll want to take and add four to that number.  That’s how many weeks in advance of your wedding you should start your lesson package.  Why is “four” the magic number to add?  It’s because you should leave two weeks for unplanned reschedules (when planning your wedding you’ll be pulled in all different directions and you never know what could come up), and an additional two weeks between the end of your wedding dance package and your wedding date (too many other last-minute details will be competing for your time and attention during those last two weeks).  Please keep in mind that lessons are not available on holiday weekends and that you will need to add an extra week or two to your start date

in order to accommodate those weeks. 

 

Pricing and policies for wedding dance lessons with Karen:

• Due to the specialized nature and high degree of customization in wedding dance lessons, Cape Sands Ballroom only offers

                wedding dance lessons in packages of five or more.

• Lesson start date: Please see above calculation: “number of planned lessons plus four”.  That is the MINIMUM number

                of weeks in advance of your wedding (excluding holiday weekends) that you need to consider for your wedding dance start                     date.  We regret that we cannot book wedding dance lessons with a start date that would fall outside of this requirement. 

 

• Please don't wait until the last minute! Book NOW to give yourself lots of practice time and to make your first dance the very best.  Booking early will also afford you a wider choice of appointment times.

• Lessons are 45 minutes long.

• Location for wedding dance lessons is

                        Cape Sands Ballroom at Cape Cod Health and Fitness, 305 Hokum Rock Road, East Dennis, MA 02638.

• Five or more lessons are $55 per lesson (in one package payment please), payable to “Cape Sands Ballroom” by check or cash only, on the day of your first lesson.  Pricing is per couple.  Please ask about pricing if you will have Mom, Dad, or members of your wedding party joining you for your lessons.  Lessons when not part of a package are $60 per lesson.

• Lessons may be rescheduled with 24 hours notice if appointment times are available. Unused lessons are non-refundable.
